The Journal of Structural and Functional Genomics (JSFG) provides a forum for the exchange and discussion of new data in structural and functional genomics. All submitted manuscripts will be subjected to peer reviewing. In view of the urgent nature of this publication, papers will be posted first on-line.
The scope of the Journal includes:
Determination of the three-dimensional structures of gene products including those with unknown biological functions.
Research and new methodology of structural genomics including informatics, structural determination and protein expression.
The discussion of the results of pilot projects in structural and functional genomics research.
Lipid Technology provides customers with a monthly source of concise information on the critical developments and trends in the oilseeds, fats and oils industries; fats and oils markets; as well as lipids in science, technology, biotechnology, food, agriculture, nutrition and pharmaceuticals. Lipid Technology has earned an excellent reputation among major companies and other organizations worldwide, because it is objective, accurate, independent, international, written in an easy-to-read style.
Introduced in 1966, Lipids is a premier journal published in the lipid field today. This monthly scientific journal features full-length original research articles, short communications, methods papers and review articles on timely topics. All papers are meticulously peer-reviewed and edited by some of the foremost experts in their respective fields.
ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters publishes brief communications on experimental or theoretical results of exceptional timeliness in all aspects of medicinal chemistry (pure and applied) and its extension into pharmacology.
Metabolic Brain Disease serves as a forum for the publication of outstanding basic and clinical papers on all metabolic brain disease, including both human and animal studies. The journal publishes papers on the fundamental pathogenesis of these disorders and on related experimental and clinical techniques and methodologies. Metabolic Brain Disease is directed to physicians, neuroscientists, internists, psychiatrists, neurologists, pathologists, and others involved in the research and treatment of a broad range of metabolic brain disorders. Topics covered include stroke, epilepsy, myelin disorders, toxic encephalopathies, genetic diseases affecting the brain, alcohol and brain metabolism, neuroendocrinopathies, viral and nonviral encephalitis, nutritional disorders affecting the brain, diseases affecting neurotransmitters, Alzheimer's disease, and aging.
This journal covers the research fields related to biometals and is expected to be the core publication for the emerging metallomics community as they strive to fully understand the role of metals in biological, environmental, and clinical systems.
Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry: An International Journal for Chemical Biology in Health and Disease publishes original, full-length research papers and short communications in all areas of the biochemical sciences, the emphasis being on those papers which present novel findings relevant to the biochemical basis of cellular function and disease processes, as well as the mechanics of action of hormones and chemical agents. Investigations directed towards molecular biology and gene expression in the cell are particularly encouraged. Membrane transport, receptor mechanism, immune response, secretory processes, and cytoskeletal function are areas of great interest to this journal, as are articles in all areas related to biochemical structure-function relationships in the cell. Studies examining adaptation of biochemical processes at the molecular and cellular levels in response to physiological and pathological stimuli are welcome.
In addition to the reports of original research, the journal publishes state of the art reviews. Specific subjects that are covered by Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry are: cellular metabolism, cellular pathophysiology, enzymology, ion transport, lipid biochemistry, membrane biochemistry, molecular biology, nuclear structure and function, and protein chemistry.
Molecular Biology and Evolution publishes research at the interface of molecular and evolutionary biology. The journal publishes molecular evolutionary patterns, processes, and predictions at all levels of taxonomic, functional, genomic, and phenotypic organization. It also publishes new and improved methods, resources, and theories that are critical for advancing the molecular evolutionary research.
Molecular BioSystems publishes high-quality interdisciplinary research with a particular focus on the interface between chemistry and the -omic sciences and systems biology.
